Upcoming Journal of Law & Health Symposium

We are thrilled to inform you that registration is now OPEN for the annual Symposium hosted by the Cleveland State University College of Law's Journal of Law & Health. Attendees can participate in person or virtually via Zoom on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 9 am to 3:15 pm EST.

What to expect? The Symposium will focus on racial disparities and health outcomes. Panelists will examine the implications of discrimination, racism, and marginalization of communities within maternal and infant health, healthcare, Medicaid and Medicare services, incarceration, wellness-legal partnerships, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare accessibility as it relates to health outcomes in a post-pandemic and post-Dobbs society.

Join us for a captivating keynote featuring Dr. Khiara M. Bridges – a renowned attorney, anthropologist, and professor at UC Berkeley Law. With a stellar academic background and extensive contributions to law reviews and books, Professor Bridges brings a unique perspective to racial disparities in health outcomes. Her keynote will delve into the intersection of race, class, and reproductive rights, offering comprehensive insights. As an advocate for social justice, she will leverage her expertise to explore root causes and propose solutions.

Where to register? Our CSU Law community can register for free through the Symposium’s hub: https://www.law.csuohio.edu/newsevents/journal-health-law-symposium or by scanning the QR code. Feel free to extend invitations to your friends, doctors, mentors, bosses, clients, or anyone else who might be interested. The Symposium is free for all attendees not seeking Ohio CLE credit.
